Job Opportunities: LASER Positions Open

The open Washington State LASER statewide staff positions are now officially posted on the Science Center's web site (http://www.pacsci.org/jobs/). We expect to be able to provide a competitive salary, so that we can attract people who have had a number of years working in the schools or ESDs. Interested individuals should send a resume with a cover letter that includes a statement regarding why they are interested in the position and why they are especially qualified to fill the position. The positions will remain open until filled, although I hope to fill the positions as soon as possible.

Talented, creative, flexible educator wanted for a position with a lot of variety in a fast-paced environment where challenges often come on a daily basis. The position's focus is on helping children in Snohomish County learn about the important topics of electricity and water. Selected applicant will plan, develop, implement, and promote the PUD's educational programs as well as supervise educational consultants. Interested applicants should possess knowledge of science, teaching methods, leadership skills, word processing and spreadsheets, excellent communication skills and enjoy serving as an ambassador between the utility and education community. Position requires a minimum of five years recent classroom teaching experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Washington State Teachers' Certificate. A Master's degree and supervisory experience are preferred.
